America's Road Team wins Healthy Trucker Challenge.

After 2 days, and more than 1.4 million steps, a team of America's Road Team Captains won the American Trucking Associations Healthy Trucker Challenge at the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition. All told, ATA's leadership, America's Road Team, and attendees walked, jogged or ran 1,472,486 steps - equating to 736 miles and burning an estimated 67,734 calories. The Captains each took an average of 15,943 steps per day to win the challenge.

Little Box Challenge Inverters arrive at NREL.

During the Little Box Challenge, presented by Google and IEEE Power Electronics Society, 18 finalist teams converged at NREL to have their power inverters tested as part of a $1 million competition to build smaller devices for use in solar power systems. Test results will help Google and IEEE decide the winner. To be successful, teams will have designed and built a residential-scale inverter with the highest power density — at least 50 W/cubic inch.
