ASABE has initiated a project to revise ANSI/ASAE S396.2, Combine Capacity and Performance Test Procedure. Standard is being revised to clarify wording and to consider the incorporation of new practices for performing loss testing on combine harvesters. ANSI/ASAE S396.2 will also be compared with ISO 8210:1989, Equipment for harvesting -- Combine harvesters -- Test procedure, to determine whether information from the ISO document should be included in S396.

NEMA publishes phase-cut dimming standard.
2016-01-25 14:31:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
NEMA published NEMA SSL 7A-2015 Phase-Cut Dimming for Solid State Lighting—Basic Compatibility. Standard provides compatibility requirements when forward phase-cut dimmer is combined with one or more dimmable LED light engines (LLEs). An LLE, for purposes of this document, comprises one or more LED modules, LED control gear (integral or remote), and connection to mains circuit. Revision eliminates category differentiation of Type 1 and Type 2 dimmers, and clarifies test condition language.
