Standards Committee reaffirms fluorescent ballast standard.

NEMA announced that ANSI Accredited Standards Committee C82 reaffirmed C82.1-2004 Line Frequency Fluorescent Lamp Ballasts. Standard covers ballasts which have rated open circuit voltages of 2,000 V or less and are intended to operate lamps at frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. ANSI C82.1-2004 (R2008, R2015) may be purchased in hard copy or electronic download on NEMA website.

Application is based on ITU Y.1564 standard and supports testing of 10 Gbps Ethernet links. UK's DPP releases standard for the delivery of UHD programmes
