NEMA announced that ANSI Accredited Standards Committee C82 reaffirmed C82.1-2004 Line Frequency Fluorescent Lamp Ballasts. Standard covers ballasts which have rated open circuit voltages of 2,000 V or less and are intended to operate lamps at frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. ANSI C82.1-2004 (R2008, R2015) may be purchased in hard copy or electronic download on NEMA website.
