Inter Press Service: Nearly two weeks after controversially winning a fifth term, it has emerged that Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni has signed another repressive law which restricts the operations of thousands of NGOs working in the country. The Louisiana Environmental Action Network sued ExxonMobil Corp. Thursday claiming the chemical facility in Baton Rouge continues to violate the Clean Air Act and fails to report these pollution releases correctly. Filed in federal court in Baton Rouge, the lawsuit says the plant continues to release thousands of pounds of harmful pollution despite a 2014 settlement with Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality over previous violations.
