FierceWireless , through its partnership with Open Signal, is once again tracking network latency in its new report, 3G/4G wireless network latency: How did Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile compare in Q3 2015? AT&T saw a slight increase in latency speeds on its LTE network in the third quarter, up from the results in the second-quarter.

Sprint network 'densification' effort takes shape

Sprint Corp. probably will deploy about 70,000 small cells and add an unknown amount of macro cell sites as part of its effort to improve coverage by "densifying" its network, analysts told Fierce Wireless . The analysts said Overland Park-based Sprint already has signed a contract for 20,000 of the small cells with Mobilite, the report says.
