Kinder Morgan appeals Georgia denial of Palmetto Pipeline

A Houston-based energy company is going to court to challenge Georgia's rejection of a proposed $1 billion petroleum pipeline. Kinder Morgan Inc. has filed a petition in Fulton County Superior Court asking for a review of the state Department of Transportation's denial last month of a permit for the Palmetto Pipeline, which would carry 150,000 barrels of gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and ethanol through 201 miles of Georgia.
