Wheelabrator acquired by Energy Capital Partners

Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. has announced the close of its $1.94 billion acquisition by Energy Capital Partners from Waste Management. The company currently operates 15 energy-from-waste facilities, four power plants, four ash landfills and three waste transfer stations, according to a press release issued by Wheelabrator.
