The latest research conducted in the US shows that both women and the upcoming power generation - the Millennials - are still reacting positive to the traditional dealership experience when shopping for a car, save for the usual ton of paperwork. While many feared so, with the advent of the Internet of things and of mobile devices, dealerships are in no danger to become obsolete - with women and younger shoppers actually needing the dealership experience to compare their research, do a test drive and even negotiate the price.

The Federal Trade Commission announced the results of Operation Ruse Control, a nationwide crackdown on car dealers who allegedly use deceptive advertising to take advantage of car buyers. "For most people, buying a car is one of the largest purchases they'll make," Jessica Rich, Director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, said.

The APA visited many dealers offering low-priced monthly or weekly payments, but Crowfoot Chrysler was one of the few actually able to match their advertised low weekly payment offer - $39 a week for a 2014 Dodge Dart.
