Talks over Irving Place Capital's proposal to buy Los Angeles-based American Apparel Inc. have reportedly hit a stumbling block, according to Bloomberg. New York private equity firm Irving Place, which offered last year to buy American Apparel for about $1.40 a share, has "grown uncertain" about the company's valuation, Bloomberg reported , citing unidentified people familiar with the situation.

The recent surge in oil production, from roughly 5 million barrels a day in 2008 to 8.9 million barrels in 2014, has led to more than 11,600 miles of crude oil pipeline being added to the domestic oil network, increasing the size by almost a quarter.
