Job description For our customer, ESA in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking an experienced Product Assurance and Safety support Engineer. You will be covering the role of Product Assurance Representative PAR, which is an independent resource, responsible to perform the Product Assurance process in support to a specific team. Responsibilities Typical activities to be undertaken are Plan and keep uptodate the PA activities in support to the team output PA Plan and PA Work Packages Monitor the compliance of the team to applicable standards and customer requirements output PA KPIs, nonconformance management, corrective and preventive actions Organise and conduct the management of anomalies and problems in each team output problem management, corrective and preventive actions Organise and conduct the management of configurations and changes within each team output configuration management, baselines Define and monitor the implementation of the rules for document production by the team output documentation management Solicit the identification of improvements by the team output lessons learned Provide direct support to the team as requested possible output demonstration of Dependability requirements, outage analysis, risk register maintenance. In particular the following tasks are highlighted Configure and maintain the PA quality tools to specifically supports the missions, Support ground and spacecraft anomaly review meetings, tracking all decisions taken, Support configuration review meetings to process all change requests, Maintain the ground segment product tree of each mission and the agreed documentation baseline, Organise and conduct the Freeze in view of critical operations, Stimulate the regular assessment of risks and reflect the update in the relevant risk register, Stimulate the collection of lessons learned after each major milestone, Survey document production by the team and provide quality review of documents on request, Attend agreed simulation sessions and support the chasing of actions raised in the Debriefing, Support critical operations on console on shift, according to instructions from Flight Operations Director, Expected contractual deliverables are KP1 Timely measure of PA KPIs for all allocated missions, KP2 Completion of agreed actions to improve PA KPIs for each mission, KP3 Completion of the OPSQ Monthly Report, with relevant SC ARs and SC status, This is a fulltime position as a Terma employee for placement at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany, starting on 1st November 2016. Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have an university degree, in the domain of engineering, science, or other suitable qualification. Essential skills are Demonstrated experience with Product and Quality Assurance of Missions in Development and Operations Expert and operational experience on problem management process anomalies, nonconformances, review board Experience in working in an operational environment Mastering of quality tools for problem management Ability to work independently, but in coordination with the OPS Quality Office Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Capable of coordinate and interact with all other roles in the mission team and with external interfaces, specifically the Customer Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Experience in Quality Management System QMS The following experience would be an additional asset Familiarity with ESA organisation and way of working Familiarity with ECSS standards applicable to ground segment Familiarity with ISO9001 standard quality Familiarity with ISO27001 standard security Expert and operational experience on configuration management process changes, baseline, freeze, deviations, waivers Expert and operational experience on risk management process risk register, trend, acceptance Expert and operational experience on documentation management process reference number, digital signature, template Experience in tools for documentation management Experience in tools for configuration management You will be required to familiarise yourself with the missions you will be supporting and in particular with the procedures and tools that are needed to perform the PAQA operations. Your responsibilities will require considerable initiative, flexibility and independence in executing the assigned tasks, within the approach defined by OPSQ. You shall have very good communication skills verbal and written and be willing to work in a team of engineers and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies.
