Air France-KLM and 10 other airlines won a challenge against almost 800m in fines for fixing air freight charges after Europe's second highest court said it had found contradictions in the EU decision. The European Commission said in a 2010 finding that 11 air cargo carriers fixed surcharges for fuel and security costs from December 1999 to February 2006, acting as a global cartel.

UPDATE 1-Peru regulator eyes sanctions over tissue cartel

Dec 15 Peru's consumer regulator said on Tuesday it was considering sanctions over a possible price-fixing cartel between the two companies who dominate the local tissue market - subsidiaries of Kimberly-Clark Corp and CMPC. "According to preliminary investigations, these companies, the principal sellers of toilet paper and other tissue products ... in the Peruvian market, fixed the prices of their products and other commercial factors such as discounts and promotions nationally from 2005 to 2014," said the regulator, Indecopi.

The European Court of Justice upheld on Thursday a 210 million euro fine imposed on South Korea's LG Display for participating in a cartel of LCD panel makers between 2001 and 2006. LG Display, whose largest shareholder is LG Electronics, was initially fined 215 million euros.
