Environmental group sues over gas power plant decision

An environmental group is challenging a decision by utility regulators that opened the way for development of a natural gas-fired power plant on the coast near San Diego. The Sierra Club says in a lawsuit filed in state court on Monday that the decision by the California Public Utilities Commission closed the door to a requirement to consider clean energy sources.

Kyocera, Century Tokyo Complete 10MW Solar Power Plant in Japan

Kyocera Corp. and Century Tokyo Leasing Corp. completed a 10-megawatt solar power station in the western prefecture of Hyogo in Japan. The plant uses solar panels supplied by Kyocera, the companies said in an e-mailed statement Monday.
