PepsiCo Inc is dropping artificial sweetener Aspartame from Diet Pepsi in an attempt to stop and reverse the slump in sales in the United States in recent years. The company will switch to a blend of sucralose and acesulfame potassium in Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi and Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi beginning in August.

Hasbro excels in a hard time for toymakers, Transformers help overcome forces of strong dollar

The toymaker, weighed down by the strong U.S. currency and battling a shift toward video games and other non-traditional toys, topped Wall Street expectations and shares jumped almost 8 percent before the opening bell Monday. Hasbro reported a 17 percent drop in profit to $26.7 million, or 21 cents per share, compared with $32.1 million, or 24 cents a share, a year earlier.

Workers who administer armed forces pensions will strike for five days

The Public and Commercial Services union said its members at US firm Computer Sciences Corporation had been offered a rise of 9p an hour, worth less than 0.5%. The union's 200 members, mostly based in Glasgow, are ex-Ministry of Defence staff who work as pension administrators and in IT on the MoD contract.
