NREL Study shows renewable energy yielded sizable benefits.

Study by researchers from NREL and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory estimates that $2.2 billion in benefits came from reduced greenhouse gas emissions and $5.2 billion from reductions in other air pollution, in mid-range estimates, for state renewable portfolio standard (RPS) policies operating in 2013. RPS policies require utilities or other electricity providers to meet a minimum portion of their load with eligible forms of renewable electricity.

Audio Technica brought some cool new toys to CES 2016 this year, and we got a chance to peruse them in the midst of the chaotic show. The company has taken its popular ATH-MSR7 over-ear headphones up a notch by adding active noise cancelling , adding a couple of new on-ear models to the mix, and perhaps most notably, adding new wireless capability to the popular LP-60 turntable in the new AT-LP60-BT.

HTC Shows Off Vive Pre's Room-Sensing Camera

A room-sensing camera planted on the front of the Vive Pre was the reason the release of Valve and HTC's virtual reality headset was delayed, the companies revealed Tuesday at CES 2016. The Vive VR headset was supposed to beat Oculus VR and Sony to the punch, coming out in the last quarter of last year. A last-minute "breakthrough" required more work on the Vive headset, HTC CEO Cher Wang said last month.
