Atlanta-based Bastille is expanding its workforce and plans to triple its office footprint as the cybersecurity startup scales to commercialization. Bastille, which raised $9 million earlier this month, has leased more than 10,000 square feet at Brickworks Atlanta, a mixed-use redevelopment in West Midtown.

Startup Bastille can flag suspicious radio traffic within enterprises to give security pros a means for keeping an eye on wireless Internet of Things devices that would otherwise elude detection. The company is beta testing its system, which consists of radio-frequency sensors that gather data about radio traffic in the enterprise and a cloud-based analysis engine that figures out what traffic represents a threat, says company founder and CEO Chris Rouland.

Bastille uses sensors and software to scan a corporation's air space, giving security personnel visibility into every radio frequency-emitting device on a premise. Bastille charges a deployment fee based on the number of sensors being used and an annual subscription for the software.
