Oregon City fined $6000 for raw sewage discharge in Newell Creek tributary

The state Department of Environmental Quality has fined Oregon City $6000 for discharging 1,750 gallons of raw sewage into a Newell Creek tributary. The sewage was discharged on Nov. 26 from a broken force main, or pressurized pipe, near the Barclay Hills Sanitary Sewer Pump Station, according to a DEQ press release.

The City of Buffalo has set a March 31 deadline for retailers looking to participate in this springs's "Queen City Pop Up" initiative.
