HTC unveils new flagship Android phone, the HTC One

(Telecompaper) HTC has unveiled its new flagship Android smartphone, the HTC One, at events in London and New York. Featuring a slim aluminium unibody and 4.7-inch screen, the HTC One comes with a number of updates from handset maker, including the HTC BlinkFeed to serve up messages and news feeds to the home screen, the HTC UltraPixel camera, taking up to 20 photos and a 3-second video with each click, and the HTC Zoe photo gallery to group and display photos and videos with added effects. The Beats Audio sound has been branded HTC BoomSound, and the phone comes with built-in amplifies to play music more clearly over the handset's two front speakers as well as make recordings. The HTC One runs Android 4.2 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor at 1.7GHz and comes with 2GB RAM, 32 or 64 GB storage and a 2,300 mAh battery. Connectivity options include LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA and Wi-Fi, as well as support for use as a infrared remote control with the accompanying interactive TV app. HTC is also including 25GB storage on Dropbox free for two years with the phone. The HTC One will be available from March with more than 185 mobile operators in more than 80 countries.
