Amazon Video adds downloading for iOS, Android devices

(Telecompaper) Amazon has expanded Amazon Video downloads to iOS and Android platforms for all Prime members in the US, UK, Germany and Austria. Unlike Netflix and other SVoD streaming services, Amazon Video allows customers to download films and TVs, not only to stream them as they watch. The download feature was previously limited to Amazon Fire devices. The Amazon Video app for iOS has been updated to include Prime Video downloads. The Amazon Video app for Android has been redesigned as a standalone app. Prime customers can also stream content online or via the Amazon Video app for TVs, connected devices and mobile devices.
