United Natural Foods Inc. said its sales jumped a bigger-than-expected 23% in its January quarter, but the company slashed its guidance as a declining Canadian dollar offset strong consumer demand for natural and organic food. The Providence, R.I.-based company, which is Whole Food Market Inc.'s primary supplier, distributes natural, organic and specialty products across the U.S. and Canada through its 29 distribution centers.
