Honda to cut North America output by another 5,000 cars amid port delays

Honda Motor Co said on Friday it would continue to adjust production at two North American car factories from Feb. 24 to March 2 due to a parts shortage caused by disruptions at U.S. West Coast ports in the midst of protracted labour talks. Honda said it expected output loss at the factories - one in Indiana and another in Canada - during the week to be around 5,000 cars.

Caterpillar dealer Finning International to cut Canadian workforce by 500

Caterpillar dealership Finning International says it will reduce its Canadian workforce by roughly nine per cent or about 500 people. The job cuts follow a drop in commodity prices in recent months and cuts to spending plans by the mining and energy companies that use heavy equipment.

Oil exploration in Norway's Arctic cut by half after crude crash

Oil exploration in Norway's Arctic waters will be cut by half this year as state-controlled Statoil ASA halted drilling in the Barents Sea after crude prices plunged. Companies led by Sweden's Lundin Petroleum AB plan to drill at most seven exploration wells in the Barents Sea, down from a record 13 in 2014, said the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
