A big cut to Fonterra's milk price forecast is unlikely to mean cheaper prices on supermarket shelves, the company says. The company has slashed the forecast milk price it pays farmers from $6/kg of milk solids to $5.30/kg, down from last season's price of $8.40, due to a drop in prices at its dairy auctions.
