INDIANAPOLIS — May 12, 2014 — What do weeds want? They want their space. Weeds aggressively fight for water, light and nutrients, crowding crops. But growers can prevent weeds from taking up precious space by planting narrower rows and using a preemergence herbicide program. read more

2013-07-29 20:05:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
Grist: Killing weeds with toxic chemicals might be making farmers clinically sad. A study of more than 700 French farmers and farmworkers found that those who used herbicides were more likely to be treated for depression than were those who avoided the stuff. 6 Tips for Postemergence Application of Pre-Emergence Corn Herbicides
2013-05-14 22:34:00| Corn & Soybean Digest
Source: Ohio State University One of the problems with a wet start to the season when planting gets compressed into short periods is the lack of time to apply preemergence herbicides and 28% before corn emerges. Most pre-emergence corn herbicides can be applied to emerged corn, and some of them have enough foliar activity to control small, emerged weeds without the need to add postemergence (post) herbicides. read more
