The City of Surrey has signed a 10-year deal with Shaw as part of a plan to provide a free WiFi hotspot at every community centre in the south Fraser municipality. Geoff Samson, manager of IT services with Surrey, said on Tuesday the agreement is "non-exclusive" so other carriers can jump in during the years of the agreement if they want.
