Energy and Water Minister Yuval Steinitz met with EU Ambassador to Israel Lars Faaborg-Andersen on Wednesday to discuss possible export of natural gas to Europe. The National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Ministry said on Wednesday said that the European Union is interested in receiving natural gas from Israel.

Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in cooperation with United Cars Almana Company, dealer of Dodge cars in Qatar, has announced the recall of 2015-2016 models of Dodge Ram vehicles due to a defect in the left rear shaft during the rotation. The recall comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of car dealerships' commitment to follow up vehicles' defects and repair them to protect consumers' rights.

Sugar industry: Ministry discusses ways and means to create R&D fund

Ministry of Industries and Production (MoI&P) on Friday discussed ways and means to create a Research and Development (R&D) fund for the sugar industry. Sources in sugar industry told Business Recorder that the Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on December 7, 2015 approved a cash support for incidental and freight (subsidy) @Rs 13 per kg for export of sugar and directed that the MoI&P should propose an appropriate percentage of the subsidy amount to be committed for Research & Development (R&D).
