Train derails west of Estevan

Canadian Pacific Railway is citing human error as the cause for a train derailment just west of Estevan on February 28. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Three empty grain cars went off the tracks near the intersection of Highway 39 and Sister Roddy Road. There were no injuries and no public safety concerns.

American Airlines president Scott Kirby said Tuesday that American Airlines is prepared to fly from New York LaGuardia to West Coast cities if allowed to do so. At present, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has a "perimeter" rule that restricts how far airlines can fly out of the smaller New York airport, and that perimeter excludes transcontinental flights.
