One Component, Electrically Conductive, Sodium Silicate, Aqueous Based Coating System

2014-07-14 06:00:00| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Well suited for electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference shielding applications, Master Bond MB600G is an aqueous based, sodium silicate system with graphite filler. Graphite filled materials are widely used for shielding and static dissipation applications because of the balance of shielding effectiveness and cost.

Shielding effectiveness is most often measured by attenuation. It is defined as the difference of an incoming intensity of the source and its ...This story is related to the following:Coating Systems

Potassium Silicate Binder produces high-temperature coatings.

2014-05-14 14:30:45| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Inorganic, water-dispersed Ceramabind™ 643-1, resistant to temperatures to 3,000°F, mixes with range of oxide and metallic powders into inert, electrically, chemically, and wear-resistant material that will not outgas under ultra high vacuum (UHV). Typical uses include formulating corrosion protective coatings for high-temperature metal structures as well as producing chemically resistant adhesives and patching compounds. Viscosity is 50–60 cP, and solids content by weight is 30.0–35.0%. This story is related to the following:Materials and Material ProcessingSearch for suppliers of: Ceramic Binders |

Conductive Sodium Silicate is available for EMI/RFI shielding.

2013-06-04 14:28:37| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Formulated for applications where EMI/RFI shielding is required, aqueous-based MB600S can be brushed or sprayed with proper equipment, will cure at room temperature in 24–48 hr or in 1–2 hr at 80°C, and has 0 to +700°F service range. Silver gray colored conductive coating, tested to IEEE 299, 2006 methods, exhibits effectiveness of 95–105 dB from 100 MHz to 2 GHz. Above 2 GHz, shielding effectiveness decreases to 80 dB and slightly below. Above 4 GHz, effectiveness is 60–70 dB.
