iPhone 5S biometric fingerprint sensor confirmed by iOS 7 leak
2013-07-30 12:58:41| Extremetech
The latest build of iOS 7 (beta 4) was released to developers last night, and it seems to confirm that the iPhone 5S's home button will have a biometric fingerprint reader built-in. The fingerprint reader should allow you to unlock your iPhone 5S, and perhaps auto-fill sensitive data such as passwords and credit card details, by simply placing your thumb on the home button.

A fire that had engulfed a portion of the Hercules 265 jack-up rig was put out early Thursday morning, according to a Coast Guard report...
Why The Latest Gulf Leak Is No BP Disaster
2013-07-24 23:04:00| Climate Ark Climate Change & Global Warming Newsfeed
National Public Radio: Teams of workers are mobilizing in the Gulf of Mexico to try to stem a natural gas leak at an offshore drilling rig that exploded and caught fire Tuesday. The rig off the Louisiana coast has been partially destroyed by the out of control blaze, and firefighting boats are on the scene. While that might call to mind images of the BP oil disaster in 2010, experts say the incidents are vastly different. Chris Reddy, an oil spill expert and chemist from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, was...
