Video over IP Cores/Designs address emerging IP-based networks.
2015-04-10 14:31:06| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Targeting broadcast and pro A/V markets, SMPTE ST 2022-1,2 and SMPTE ST 2022-5.6 IP cores and reference designs enable any-media-over-any-network transport capabilities. Cores encapsulate multiple compressed JPEG 2000 or MPEG transport streams or uncompressed SDI streams onto 1 and 10 Gb Ethernet IP networks and offer optional Forward Error Correction (FEC). Solutions enable distribution of video sync signals over IP networks and generate clocks and timestamps for remote video sources.

Windstream wants ILECs to price IP-based wholesale special access services fairly
2014-11-04 20:21:12| Grocery - Topix.net
Windstream is not opposed to AT&T or any traditional telco's migration from TDM to IP-based services, but it is calling for regulators to ensure that it and other competitors can get last-mile circuits for equivalent prices. Serving as both an ILEC and CLEC in the markets it serves, Windstream has built out an extensive fiber and copper network, but as it extends its services to more multi-site customers, it can't reach every location it needs to serve by building out its own network.
