ASTM International's Committee on Homeland Security Applications (E54) approved 3 new standards for body armor for military and criminal justice personnel: Practice for Body Armor Wearer Measurement and Fitting of Armor (E3003), Specification for Preparation and Verification of Clay Blocks Used in Ballistic-Resistance Testing of Torso Body Armor (E3004), and Terminology for Body Armor standard (E3005). One ASTM member said stakeholders are working to harmonize body armor standards.

Bloomberg: Japans cabinet on Tuesday approved changes to the countrys incentive program for clean energy, including the introduction of auctions for solar projects in an overhaul of the program, which is almost four years old. In 2015, Commercial Workforce Credentialing Council of NIBS released 4 Better Buildings Workforce job task analyses and credentialing schemes for: building commissioning professional, building energy auditor, building operations professional, and energy manager. CWCC subsequently submitted them to ANSI for review to determine if schemes were developed based on clause 8 of ISO/IEC 17024:2012, Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.
