Toyota boosting Japan exports to reach sales goal

Toyota Motor Corp., facing capacity constraints in North America, may boost exports from Japan for the first time in three years to meet its global sales target. Weak sales in resource-rich and emerging countries have made it "very difficult" to meet Toyota's 2015 target, Managing Officer Yoichi Miyazaki said last month, according to a newsletter by the company's labor union.

Exxon Mobil gets DOE approval for wider LNG exports at Alaska terminal

Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil Corp. said June 1 it received authorization to export liquefied natural gas to non-free trade agreement countries at its Alaska LNG terminal. The proposed project received conditional authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy to export up to 20 million metric tons per year of LNG for 30 years.
