This year’s programme will focus on ways to improve net returns for swine businesses, with a special emphasis on swine disease prevention and management with two prominent Kansas veterinarians discussing porcine epidemic diarrhea virus. PEDV was first discovered in the United States this year.

The event at the Scheman Building at Iowa State University in Ames ran from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is the second year Iowa State, Iowa Pork Producers Association and Iowa Pork Industry Center have organized the one-day event for the swine industry.
