Probe into mold at UPMC transplant hospital completed

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has finished its on-site review of a mold problem at the transplant intensive care unit at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that CDC officials believe three transplant patients who developed mold infections and later died likely breathed in the mold spores instead of having their skin come into contact with mold.

Good News for Commuters: Work Completed on Foothill Gold Line Extension to Azusa

Expected to dramatically improve mobility in one of the more highly congested regions in Southern California, the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority completed the Foothill Gold Line from Pasadena to Azusa on September 23, 2015. After achieving this milestone, the Authority turned the project over to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to complete testing and training and then operate the project.

Kyrgyzstan auction for LTE bands is completed

(Telecompaper) The Kyrgyzstan State Property Management Fund has completed an auction to allocate three 10 MHz blocks of mobile spectrum, reports Tazabek. The auction has been carried out in three lots, 806-811 MHz/847-852 MHz, 811-816 MHz/852-857 MHz and 816-821 MHz/857-862 MHz bands were offered for an initial price of KGS 238.803 million per band. Mobile operators Nur Telecom, working under the O! brand, Sky Mobile, working under the Beeline Kyrgyzstan brand, and Alfa Telecom, working under the Megacom brand, received the bands. The final price totaled KGS 298.8 million per band. The operators will be able to use the spectrum to provide LTE services.
