The Nigeria Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP) launched early 2014 by President Goodluck Jonathan highlighted the sugar sector as one of its primary areas of focus in bringing to the fore the competitiveness of Nigeria\'s natural resources especially in the agricultural sector which constitutes the bulk of raw materials for industries.
