AT&T tests DirecTV over 5G with customers in Austin

(Telecompaper) AT&T has launched a second trial of fixed wireless 5G services using mmWave spectrum. The trial service in Austin, Texas uses Ericsson's 5G RAN and the Intel 5G Mobile Trial Platform. The trial participants can stream live TV via the DirecTV Now online service and experience faster broadband services up to 1 Gbps.
