Agency to discuss permits for animal operations

The Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission will meet to consider extending a moratorium on issuing any new permits for large or medium concentrated animal feeding operations or confined animal operations in the Buffalo River Watershed. The meeting is scheduled Oct. 24 at the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality headquarters building commission room in North Little Rock.
