Albemarle completes Rockwood acquisition

Baton Rouge specialty chemicals maker Albemarle Corp. has completed a previously announced $6.2 billion cash-and-stock deal for Princeton, New Jersey-based Rockwood Holdings Inc. Albemarle President and Chief Executive Officer Luke Kissam tells The Advocate the deal positions the company for long-term growth, expanding the combined firm's reach and diversity of products.
