Amazon interested in Sprint's Boost Mobile - report

2019-05-31 09:09:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Amazon is looking into acquiring Sprint's Boost Mobile, Reuters reported, citing sources close to the matter. Sprint has been told to sell the unit if it wants to get its merger with T-Mobile US approved. The sources said Amazon is mainly interested in the fact that any deal will allow the buyer of Boost Mobile to use the new T-Mobile new mobile network for at least six years. Amazon is also interested in linking spectrum to the deal, should it go through.
