American Airlines leading fight against three foreign rivals

Just 15 months after merging with US Airways to form the world's largest airline, the new American Airlines has emerged as a leading voice in a bumpy campaign to persuade the White House to intervene in what it calls unfair competition from foreign rivals. Joining the nation's two other largest airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, top executives at American Airlines Group have met with senior Obama administration officials to present their case that three leading Middle Eastern airlines aren't playing fair.
