Amerijet drops Rickenbacker cargo service after 2 months

2014-09-27 03:22:12| Air Courier - Topix.net

Amerijet International Inc. has ended cargo deliveries between Columbus and Reno, Nevada, after just two months because of a lack of demand from shippers, disappointing airport officials who had hoped the service would bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual revenue. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company set up in a 20,000-square-foot warehouse at Rickenbacker International Airport in July to run five weekly cross-country flights with ground transportation to final destinations such as Chicago and Atlanta.
