Any drop in oil supply will lag falling prices

If U.S. drillers start scaling back oil production in response to plummeting oil prices, U.S. supply change isn't likely to change until later next year, analysts said. "It takes time to stop a rig," said Jason Wangler, senior vice president and equity analyst for Wunderlich Securities in Memphis, Tenn.
