(Telecompaper) Apple has announced that it will be opening its first iOS app development centre in Europe at a partner institution in Naples, Italy. The programme will be the first of many, said Apple, as the company seeks to give students practical skills and training on developing iOS apps. Specifically, the centre will support teachers and provide a specialised curriculum preparing thousands of future developers to be part of Apple's developer community. The US company will also work with partners around Italy who deliver developer training to complement this curriculum and create additional opportunities for students. No details were provided as to when the Naples-based hub will open.
