Ardent Mills begins operations

A transaction combining the flour milling assets of Cargill, ConAgra Mills and CHS, Inc. has been completed, creating Ardent Mills, the largest flour milling company in the U.S. First announced in March 2013, antitrust objections necessitated the divestiture of four flour mills by the founding companies.
