Aust shares flat on last trading day

The Australian share market has opened slightly lower on its last day of trading for the year, following a drop in crude oil prices and Wall Street ending lower. The S&P/ASX 200 index was trading flat in early trade after opening 0.2 per cent down, and a lower close today will snap a nine-day winning streak for the benchmark.
