Australia gives Wilmar and First Pacific go-ahead for Goodman Fielder deal

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has agreed not to oppose the proposed acquisition of Goodman Fielder by First Pacific and Singapore-listed Wilmar International, the latter said on Thursday. Wilmar and First Pacific had announced in April their plans to acquire food company Goodman Fielder, which operates mainly in Australia and New Zealand, for $ billion.
