The Pacific Rim trade deal will be a disaster for Canada's auto-parts supply chain, the industry's union says, warning it could cost up to 20,000 jobs in the next few years, many of them in Southwestern Ontario. But others say the Trans-Pacific Partnership isn't a fundamental change and Canada had to face the realities of widening free trade to the vast Pacific market.
