(Telecompaper) Belgian businesses and consumers are at an advanced level of ICT usage but digital public services are lagging behind and the country needs to make more progress in human capital, according to a government study of the information society. The report, which compares Belgium with its European neighbours, found however that the country has an excellent level of internet connectivity. The study found that 97 percent of households have internet connections and 97.7 percent of businesses benefit from broadband, of which 44.8 percent with a connection speed of at least 30 Mbps.
