Intended for applications from 2–20 GHz, CMD187 wideband GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) amplifier die delivers greater than 22 dB of flat gain with corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +14 dBm and noise figure of 4.5 dB at 20 GHz. All-positive bias design eliminates sequencing circuits while simplifying board layout, and use of on-chip tracking circuits ensures consistent performance over temperature and process variation.
