Business Roundtable: CEOs Scale Back Plans for Hiring, Investment

U.S. business leaders have scaled back hiring and investment plans for the next six months, a reflection of heightened uncertainty after a patch of slower economic growth. The Business Roundtable 's measure of the economic outlook among chief executive officers slipped to 81.3 in the current quarter from 90.8 in the first quarter, the lobbying group said Monday.
