The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that employers who make accommodations for employees with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act must give a legitimate reason for not also accommodating pregnant women. In the case in question, a pregnant employee brought suit against United Parcel Service for failing to accommodate her pregnancy-related lifting restrictions.
