CHS raising $400 million for North Dakota fertilizer plant

CHS Inc . plans to raise $406 million to help build a nitrogen fertilizer plant in Spiritwood, a small town outside of Jamestown, N.D. When the project was announced in 2012 , Inver Grove Heights-based CHS said the plant would employ 100 to 150 people and convert natural gas into ammonia fertilizer.
